Mozilla for linux, ah how you've betrayed me.

I was going to post something long, but because mozilla is a stupid whore who automagically follows anything you paste into it using the middle button, I'll simply gripe and mention upcoming projects.

There are 12 things on the ole todo list, which will at some point be published here. It should be featureful and neat, and I'll have fun finishing it up. Also coming is some kind of "site content" system, since updating one of these rants is kind of retarded if all I have to say is "finished the comments section" or "changed link mouseovers to green" or "changed background to light gray", all of which I actually did do.

School started up. Classes seem good, especially the Duchamp ones. As for compilers, it all depends on my group assignment. I have to drop Java at some point, because apparently it will be too much work.

Yesterday had its ups and downs, and unfortunately the downs were pretty low. But the ups were quite nice too. Our first cs521 project is to make a simple DNS server that does only recursive queries.. progress is coming along quite nicely now, with a server and client that can communicate with eachother (or at least make a connection), even accross a few computers. So far it compiles in Linux (slackware 8.1) and Irix (attila.stevens.edu). I'll check it out on BSD after I get some kind of interactive exchange working.

I woke up at 8:50 this morning, wondered what the hell I was doing up, and then went back to sleep. I guess waking up at 8:00 every day the past week has taken its toll, but it comes with the perks of friendship and being on time for class (ahem.. sometimes) and work. My arms are screaming at me for that trip to A&P yesterday in which I carried back like 10 gallons of juice and 20 cans of soup, and my legs will be doing the same after I regroup and resume on my strenuous excersize regimen monday. Thank you Martin Luther King Jr. for youre courageous fight for freedom against racial prejudice, and your martyr status.

While arranging the room yesterday (it looks great!), the topic of Jared came up again. Its been about 7 months since he passed away suddenly; its a real shame. Sometimes, thats all you can say. There wasn't much reflection, you just kinda deal with it. If you want to know why the topic came up, you can stop by room 3 and relax in our luxurious arrangement.

I promised I'd try not to code today, but at this point, with nothing to do and 12 hours to fill, it appears that I might have lied. who knows? We'll see how the day unfolds, I might be going for galbi tang in the city with christian and possibly jim, if his fat ass ever wakes up and answers the phone. As for you, my short time with you (which has taken far too long) is over.
