In fact, This site does have a layout; its my brand new mozilla theme... theme. I call it modern. He calls it fascist or any number of other publicly renounced social, economic or political practices. I call him Jeremy, and I question his sexuality almost every day.
This rant really is for him, because he was complaing how he doesn't have an established website to post jokes on... one that his friends will visit. Let me tell you that I don't think that this site is very established at all.. but for some reason whenever I update it I get about 5 or 6 IM's about what I've posted. And these people that IM me, they are never girls. This brings me to A3K.
He brought up that he had a friend that he liked more than just a friend.. and I'm sure we've all had that happen to us at one point or another.. But to him (and I share the nobleman's sentiment), female friends are too valuble, too rare a comodity to waste on a possible flight of fancy.. I can see where he's coming from.. since moving to this school my frenzied foray for females has seen a sharp decrease in successful hits.. down from like 10 friends to 3 or 4. And then theres the whole definition of friendship when it comes to women that is fairly complicated.
I can say this about A3k.. he got me thinking. I am one of the "lucky" people out there that can seperate physical or mental attraction from love, as well as friendship from fancy.. and what it ends up doing is getting me like no girlfriends. This is a problem, since I'm currently at a no-girlfriend state, and all things considered my current course of action will ensure my state through graduation. Its not really all that uncommon since its stevens, and there aren't many girls here to begin with.. and there are already a few that I dislike; this "few" combined with the percentage of females that are already taken, plus the "code of jay" factor which I might delve into a little more at a later date, significantly drops the female-male ratio, most likely into the deep dark depths of scientific notation hell where the exponents are so large, they themselves need to be scientifically notified.
Now that I've completely lost my origional state of thought, I can say this much: I don't think that I'm in his current predicament now, although I know that I've been there before. Its a scary thing to a guy, to weigh friendship against relationship.. to us, if we let it catch on that we like one of you girls, any previous notion of friendship is gone. I'm not really sure how it is to girls; lets see how to word this.. and my first attempt was terrible.. Heres another go. If a girl and a guy had an equal ammount of male and female friends, respectively.. the guy would want to go out with more of his female friends than the girl would her male friends. That seems about right. If i wanted to get base about it, I could say we (guys) are more horny. Of course, when you are at stevens, maybe your perception of the world at large is a little skewed.
In even more news that MIGHT be listed here already, my page is only 2% behind some other page in the search results for "calc3" at the Stevens search. I'm only 7% behind a mr. D McNeil for the search results for "God".. so perhaps I just might be god after all. In a quick search just now, Jeremy and I also found someone who has an excel file with everything in the school's IP and hostname listed.. very interesting. With over 15k entries, it had to be a batch job.
Oh yeah, the mozilla thing's a joke... enjoy, I'll be in Portugal (or I'll die horribly in a plane crash) for the next three weeks. Lets just hope we can ignore the parenthisized text, ne?
