The past week or so has been simultaneously entertaining and ironic. After the most dissapointing week of my life as far as attendence at work is concerned, I make up for it with the busiest weekend since classes ended. Fitting that my vacation from work was easily broken this weekend, 1 week before classes are slated to start.
Still, there's much fun to be had when you aren't going to work, including dusting off the ole dreamcast and both keepin it rockin baby and taking it for a ride. Newly renewed interest in games have given me the urge to continue my favorite past time from freshman year; feeling young and playing emulators. Got a game of FF2J going now; I figure, I've beaten 1, 5, 6 and 7; might as well go for the NES ones first.
And as always, my final fantasy quest will fail; but probably not before I beat at least one of the games. If i can make it all the way to FF4, then I've beaten 1-7 which is simultaneously respectable and hideously sad... it really depends on context. Among my other revived interests is manga, which I had the pleasure of enjoying in the form of 25 scrumptious volumes of Berserk. Currently, I'm enjoying some more Naruto that I never finished with on my first pass through. Splendid! But no One Piece.
Also this past week, I got an Instant Message from an oddly familiar name that perhaps should not have been oddly familiar. I asked around if anyone knew this person, but nobody did. Then it hit me who it was. It was none other than everyone's favorite Aussie porkchop Sandra Teixeira (spelling in the context of my terrible memory), who left for the land down under ~6 years ago! I was blown away, and then reminded that we had spoken briefly 3 years ago. What a bad memory I have.
Anyway, she turns out to be a near exact clone of myself, including likes, dislikes, hobbies, favorite programming languages, geek factor. How freaky. Also freaky is apparently everyone around me, myself probably included. The past weekend has also given me more of an opprotunity to play with my baby, and the results are rather hilarious in nature.
Firstly, observe krupnick dancing to some white stripes. Splendid! Next, you can mr. demarco dilligently working at.. well, you'll see. Finaly, sit back and relax as you watch Jerumu stare at the sun. Fun with music, Fun with camera! After I finish work on the OCD site, I'll probably go on with my life. Until then, at least I can make silly playlists and observe my friends being odd. And now, you can too.
